Opinions please...
I have collected a bunch of Quarters over the years, they are dated 1970-89. Should I return them & search for silver?

I think the Ahia P was low mintage. Something about the mint being closed for awhile.

Kind of funny, I usually find mostly p's, the OH are d. I also found rolls of NJ, CT, PA, MD & have a few more to open. They all look brand new.

Quick question from a CRH noob. What is special about the ATB Quarters? And, how do I know if a quarter is a proof? Sorry for the dumb questions, I'm just trying to learn :)

No dumb questions here! Everyone was ignorant at some point. ATB-America the Beautiful-theyre just new and shiny and stuff, and havent made their way into circulation as much as State QuartersProof-you can tell by the mirror field and because it will be an S mint.

found a 64 as I open a roll on my register tonight . I searched around $3000 in quarters past month and no silver and found 2 in about 20 bwr's at work so I think I ll stop with cwr for quarters !

Thanks, rachums107.
I'm in a somewhat unique position that I own a restaurant and we have tons of change pass through there.
Every day we do a change order for $60 or so in quarters. I sometimes have no quarters left, and other times I'll have 6 fresh rolls.
I'm going to start searching through each roll and exchanging them daily at the bank.
Thanks for the info and I'll be sure to post up my finds.

Hello all,
Ive been lurking and reading the forums, doing a bit of roll hunting here and there. It was time to post, b/c had a find in the first two boxes of quarters in 2012. So far found a '64, but still have 13 rolls left to search I had just told the wife that maybe no more quarter hunting, and literally 9 minutes later - I found it!

Searched 4 rolls today, found a silver in the second roll. :)
Nothing else of note, however.

I have collected a bunch of Quarters over the years, they are dated 1970-89. Should I return them & search for silver? If they are just circulated, then yes. Some AU+ dated 1982-3 might be worth keeping, since no mint sets were issued those years.

"bought the coin star quarter bag, guy said no problem I can have them whenever I want and found 3 1940,1946 and 1961 alot better than the luck I've had with boxes!" That is way cool, maybe I should look into this as well!
