First, is it true that it is harder to find silver in quater rolls than in dimes?

Quote: First, is it true that it is harder to find silver in quater rolls than in dimes? Yes, but it's not all about the silver. You can pull some very nice P & D mint State Quarters, and the same for the ATB Quarters. You get some proofs here and there too.

Got my 1st box of the year today. Box #8 (1) 1940 (1) 1952-D I also found this 1999-D Connecticut with a silver edge that I posted in another thread. https://goccf.com/t/108177

Box #9 No silver today, but I completed my ATB up to date with Chickasaw. I also found this two toned Hawaii Quarter Proof. The picture DOES NOT do this coin justice. & for some reason, the gold color shifts on the picture? But it's a gorgeous coin.

HI coin looks like an attempt at a gold overlay.

While at work today - sent my uncle to the bank to get our weekend change - included was eight rolls of quarters. Upon returning, he informed me there was 'something shiny' in one of the rolls - but not silver (he is a collector too). I rim searched the eight rolls and the last of them produced the shiny rim. Suspecting an ATB Quarter - I popped the roll open to find not an ATB but a 2008 S Arizona! Very cool. This is my fifth proof State Quarter, and eighth proof quarter overall. Happy hunting! - Scott

I bought 10 Quarter rolls at a TCF Bank for my kids to fill in a US quarter map. Found a '64 in there, it really popped out at me with the color. Makes me think I could find more silver in rolls, from what I read, I should know better though!

Welcome, roundeler!
Yeah, silver is hard to come by, especially in quarter rolls, but if you were to roll hunt, now would be the time to do so, since lots of people might've spent their hoards of old coins, tossing some silver back into the mix!
