Went back today with no luck. Oh well.
I may try again tomorrow. If there are rolls there with silver, I would hate to miss out on a possible huge hit. I'm assuming these rolls are from the same person so I'm going to try to make sure I don't miss anything.

Happy Friday to everyone.

My boss, who graduated from college 10 years ago, was telling me that when he was in college he worked foe his uncle at his washateria. He said his job was to empty out all of the washing machines and dryers of change and then put the quarters into the change machine. I asked him if he had to roll all those quarters and he said no that they almost never deposited the quarters just kept the cycle going by taking then from the washers and dryers and putting them into the change machine and on and on. This got me thinking so I found three washaterias close by my, all three in poorer areas, and bought $100 worth of quarters from their change machines. Went through them all yesterday and scored a 1957 and a 1958 silver quarters. Guess I will be hitting those and other washaterias up on a regular basis for my quarters to search. I have also thought about hitting up the change machines at some self serve car washes as well.

We used to raid the change machine at the laundromat. Change quarters for dimes and a nickel, use the nickels to get dimes.

Today I hit $300 in cwr's no silver but my best finds from cwr so far as I found a high ms1973, 87S proof69-70dcam,2x88S proof70 dcam in the same roll . The frost cameo is beautifull on these 3 coins , to be honest its the best proofs I found in about 100 proof coins from roll searching . Cant understand why someone deposited the coins ?!.

The coins where probably either stolen or people are really desperate for cash now, but that is amazing to find them without any marks on them.

And amazing that others are still finding silver quarters.

It is most likely a case of not knowing what they have, someone has some old quarters they found or were given and just don't know anything about them except that they are spendable cash. Could also be someone dies and relatives found them in their possession and again not knowing what they were spent them. And sadly which I am sure happens far more than it should someone breaks into a house and finds a jar of coins thinking hey great I just scored some cash and spends it not knowing their true value.

Just a thought

Searched $100 cwr with no luck, found one of those 25 centavos that I have seen on the forum occasionally. I can't seem to get into foreign coins, maybe it's because I am disappointed that the silver edge isn't silver.

I was at the bank by my work during lunch to get some rolls.
She opened her drawer and I saw some mint wrapped quarters. I bought all of them, $50 worth.

Pretty cool, I ended up with the following US Mint wrapped rolls:
P Utah
D Utah
P Arizona
P US Virgin Islands
D US Virgin Islands

Im especially excited to have the VI rolls.

What do you guys think!

Some banks sell the bags of Quarters that other people dump in their coin counting machines. I think that's what he means.

6 more rolls this afternoon on the way home. Out of a brand new box and wrapped with inside out white dime wrappers...
A 1964D

I was shocked. This bank has been awesome lately with quarters.
