well, no silver in the box I searched yesterday. I did pull about a dozen ATBs and a few nice VF clad examples that might make it into my dansco. I gotta look them over a bit more to make sure they are what I am looking for.

Finally found this thread. Have been finding lots of nice quarters and other stuff in quarter rolls. Glad to keep this discussion going. Will look at it everyday and try to post often.

Bag of quarters proved to be skunk on silver. Turned out 11 ATB Quarters including four D mints, four Canadian quarters, and a first for me - a quarter from the East Caribbean States.

I still get excited when I find a foreign coin I haven't seen before. About 50 or so years of collecting and I still feel like a kid at Christmas. This week I found a Panama Quarter 1953. Silver.

I've only found one silver quarter in all my ten or so years of searching. Of course, I haven't been as serious in my extent of searching until a couple years ago. My only find was a 1957 Philadelphia. I take that back- I found a silver Canadian quarter recently, a 1952. Still, those are my only two silver quarters, in contrast to my 102 silver dimes! I have about 45 silver War Nickels as well.

nice finds everyone. I am off to the bank today to dump a bunch of stuff and then hopefully grabbing my usual box of quarters, dimes, nickels and either another dime or a penny that kind of looks like a d over s but it also to me seems like a squashed d under the new D. RedBook doesn't show anything, but then again I didnt figure it would. I dont have a variety book. I did find this on another site while doing research on the topic for you "1959-D/D 25c RPM#1 D/D South. Very scarce to rare and seldom offered! MS64 $35.00" not a huge premium but a really nice find. It looks like you have 2 mintmarks going on so I would bet it is a d over d congrats

Got 8 rolls from my bank today, found a 1942d. I also found a 2005 Saskatchewan commemorative Canadian quarter. Can anyone tell me where to look for the doubling on a 42d?
Anyone need a Saskatchewan commemorative? It's kind of neat but I don't keep foriegn coins.
