There has to be a reason that a box of JFK rolls have something good and a silver quarter is really rare. The only thing I can think of would be since quarters circulate way way more then halfs they get picked through quickly.

thats exactly it coindog boxes of quarters are always in demand of course from businesses everywhere I guess I got lucky with the boxes I got, someone probably dumped their quarters and I was there at the right time finding 3 in one box was pretty amazing I doubt that will happen again but who knows! thats the fun thing about this hobby the thrill of the search

Searched $240 in cwr with interesting results. Pulled a 1977 French franc, a 1974 Swiss fr., and a 61d Washington. My luck with quarters is making me consider searching them more often.

Ricardocody, Do you always take Canadian coins for payment? Or only when they are silver?

Quote: Found a silver canadian... This one came from a customer at work ! Very nice! Quote: I recive so many canadian I'm serious thinking in start some canadian albuns special quarters and cents as I have and find some timt to time ! Go for it! Many years ago I used to get Canadian coins frequently enough to start organizing them into their own collection (separate from my other non-US coins). However, that collection has been idle for more than ten years now.

I once found 2 bicentennial quarters in a single roll. Not the most exciting find, but still a pretty neat find.

I'm about two hours from the border so I've gotten alot of Canadians over the years. I have been filling albums along with the US stuff for about 50 years. It's fun and pretty easy but the old stuff is getting harder to find. You might not be able to find albums for the fun type quarters like Olympics etc. but Whitman and Harris have most of the others to keep your coins organized.
