100$ searched out of 500, and found two ATB and one 1990 Cayman Islands.

Also. Can someone give me a simple list of what to search for in quarters. Like common things.

I was in a library cutting some paper, when I heard the sound of silver dropping on a surface. Someone said the quarters she had were not working in the vending machine. I decided to take a look and I saw a bright white quarter and a dark-looking quarter. I asked to buy them from her, and I exchanged two clad quarters for her coins. As it turns out, they were two silver Washingtons-one 1939 and one 1940. They look at least VF, which makes me wonder if someone's collection was raided.

Went through 500$ in CWR.
No silver, but lots of ATBs, and lots of Choice pieces I took for myself.

M0nks,
Kind of makes up for the luck on halves doesn't it? I am thinking about checking some local banks for some CWR quarters. Also thinking of going this route for dimes.
BTW, glad I was turned onto this thread.

This morning I proposed an arrangement to the lady where I buy my coffee and newspaper. She gets a lot of requests for quarters for parking meters. I work near a bank. I asked if she'd like if I brought her a few rolls of quarters each week. She said she would appreciate that.
I'm thinking I can just look for silver edges through the plastic coin wrap without opening the roll. Then, after I've examined the roll, I can sell her the roll (at face) unopened. On those rare occasions when I might turn up some silver, I can crack open the roll and return the loose quarters to the bank.
My only question: Are unclad quarters fairly easy to spot through the plastic?

Newmismatist,
I would think clean quarters would be easy to see through plastic. The problem you may run into is if you have a dirty, blackened quarter. I have read these are more difficult to determine by edge searching.
