This is what I sent him:

Sir, these coins are not worth more than $1 US for all of them. Did you not know the value of these when you posted? Surely you realize you are wasting your money on fees. Nobody will ever pay this amount.

Will see what he says.

*Edited to add response*

This is what he said:

Thank you for your point of view and remarks. But we have also diffrent comments and bids so I wish you all the best.

Very diplomatic of him.

That auction is definitely a scam. The photos are very poor,as you can't even see what is on the coins. That vendor on ebay must be an idiot for wanting 200,000 Euros for coins not even worth US$5.I can understand if he was wanting 200,000 Zimbabwean Dollars for his coins.

I'm inclined to think maybe Nigerian dollars? Aren't they the ones to look out for on ebay?
Rest in Peace

Fortunately, his starting price is so outrageously high that it's beyond the reach of the average Barnum and Darwin Award recipient. Indeed, if someone were to buy this at that price, we'd have to create a new category, something along the lines of "deranged".

Kathryn,Nigeria's currency is called the Naira, which is divided into 100 Kobo. The Naira sign is the letter 'N' with 2 bars horizontally through it.

Nigeria was actually the last country in the British Commonwealth to change over to decimal currency - in 1973.

I believe he wants 200 euros. The comma and decimal point swap meanings.
His response,

Sir, Price of whole collection is 200,000 EUR. Coins can be separately if Client demand for it. Rgds,

would have been decisive if he had written 200,00 EUR.

And with those awesome pics of his, who wouldn't want them. Please tell me that this is some joke. If the guy seriously believes that his coins are worth so much...
