coindexter Pillar of the Community United States 869 Posts	Posted 11/26/2010 1:12 pm I had a idea the other day.I had just finished off a jar O pickles(sweet)and noticed the ingredients(corn syr.,water,vinegar)i thought a hummmm a diluted source of vinegar might be a little less harsh on the metal but I'm not sure yet. I also have a 1942-d with really heavy black crud to be used as a test subject. Well I'm on my 3 day and it's working great. I will update the final results w/pics. Report this Post to the Staff

I don't know who was more pickled yesterday me or that nickel "Happy belated Thanksgiving everyone" No dancing pickle only a pepper. coindexter Pillar of the Community United States 869 Posts	Posted 12/12/2010 01:16 am Well here is the end results. I pulled it out a few weeks ago. I believe the pickle juice is just as strong as using plain white vinegar. It had no problem eating through the old paint or tar that was on it. It has the lunar landing look to it now. LOL and it's weight dropped to 4.7G compared to same year of another 1942 at 4.9 So I guess save your white vinegar and don't pour out the leftover pickle juice. It makes a great buffalo date finder.
