I've been told check under it in case someones coins fell under and I've been told that there is sometimes one on top, more ways to embarrass yourself yay
do you guys think it would be worth it to do those things.

I've checked the top of the machine before, don't think I could bring myself to get on the floor and look underneath. Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode with George and the vending machine at the car dealer ship.

Or maybe the one where George is caught digging a slightly-chewed chocolate eclair out of the trash can?

I was at one once when it was being serviced...there was a pile underneath that the technician had to scoop up...so badly wanted to ask him if I could look through them...

Reviving an old topic, I know. But I happened to score some goods from my local grocery's coinstar reject slot today.

46 cents of regular US coinage, a 1941D Wheat cent, a 1983 Canada Dime, a dime sized aluminum chinese coin with a 1 on it ( can't read chinese so don't know denomination), and best of all, a 1964D silver dime!

The first time I checked one near me I found a Sac dollar and a bent-up dime. The second time was a German 2 phenning coin. Kinda cool coin! It has wheat ears on a copper coin, similar to one loved by us!

Dang it, now I find myself checking them everywhere I go!

I feel like everyone is watching me when I do it. I already felt weird enough when I used to walk in with 300+ in change. The excuse about "reading the instructions" is great.

Who cares what everybody else thinks.

As long as it isn't illegal, I figure it to be fair game.
