From circulation, it would have to be some Wheat cent of an unknown date.
From the shop: 1906 Barber dime, and 1899-O Barber half. I can't wait to get a capped bust type, but right now they're out of my price range; I've had to settle for low-grades of older dates so far.

I just thought I'd mention - although it's not a US Coin, if you're a fan of Revolution-period history, if you keep your eye on the lookout you can pick up a Fugio NOTE for peanuts! They're often counterfeited, but Hall & Sellers printed so many that they can be had in lower grades for sometimes under $100 - which is pretty amazing considering you get a signature or two from February of (some printings are) 1776! Amazing! Just before the Declaration of Independence! Pretty neat, and of course they were designed in part by Benjamin Franklin, who was most interested in anti-counterfeiting - one of the leaders of it all at the time. Awesome little piece of history that I definitely recommend. This little mangy scrap of paper is one of my most coveted pieces in my collection. =)

What a difference a couple of months make.

1816 large cent. Not pretty but it was cheap.

1866 quarter eagle. I also have a couple of 8-reale coins from 1792 which, while not U.S. coins, were circulated as legal tender for awhile.

I bought a 1804 1/2 cent lately. It is in pretty poor condition, though.

Congrats on the early copper Coinstar! =)

I missed a half-dime on ebay for $10! 1834, holed, other than the hole probably graded G+/F- ish. I wanted it but NOOOoooo. "I was gonna be a good boy and not spend any money on coins this week."

Sold for $8 bucks plus $2.99 shipping. Even if it had turned out to be a contemporary counterfeit or something, what a steal!

Sorry for the OT, had to rant.
