Here is the latest upgrade to my set. There are only four of these graded at PCGS. I replaced my F-15 with an XF-45. Total pop 1 - ms60 2 - xf45 (my second one not in the pop report yet, so the pop report only shows 1) 1 - f-15 (my original coin from my set)

TreasHunt,
Yes. This is only the fourth one graded by PCGS. The top pop is MS60, and there are no FB graded yet. The third one graded was my ANACS VF-20 which PCGS says F-15. I have half the population on this one. LOL

I need that one too in my collection. I saw one months ago from the ads L&C Coins has one not certify listed as MS60 and going for $2500.
Edit: Correction. That one was certified by PCGS!

Mac,
L&C still has that one at $2500, and it remains the top pop. In the two plus years looking for one of these I had to purchase these as varieties. I haven't been able to pick this one. Rare and known make this one tough.

Mac,
You may be getting some hits on your site. I added a link about your article in PCGS forum.

Thanks!
Only thing is I don't have much to sell for the moment, as my real job keeps me away.

Hello Arsave, That is a very interesting variety and apparently it commands a significant premium. I guess I should pull out my silver dime stash and look at any 1945-S coins I may have.
Are there any other valuable merc varieties to look for among the common dates? I've already checked for the 1941/42 overdates; I know I don't have any of those!

Do a search for ARSAVE Coins and go to my variety resource pages. You will find a whole bunch of varieties for Mercury dimes. You could also click on my user name and take the link to my site. Some of the tougher varieties include 1935-S/S 1936/29-S possible overdate 1942-D/D 1945-D/Horizontal D. There are many many more. Good luck with your search.
