1957B Silver Certificates With Ascending Serial Numbers

ICanSeeYou7687 Valued Member United States 362 Posts	Posted 01/01/2011 9:53 pm I did do some research, and found out that 1957B was one of the most common years for these certificates. But after looking through my old collection I found (among other things) three 1$ silver certificates in mint condition with incrementing serial numbers. so their serial numbers go from 77 A - 79 A Just wondering if this would increase their value? I would assume it would.... From what I found online the dollars values are about 2-5$ or so a piece. Just curious! thanks! Report this Post to the Staff

Nickelman Pillar of the Community United States 1397 Posts	Posted 01/01/2011 11:13 pm In theory it does increase the value to have consecutive notes, in reality the lion's share of the value is in the condition, and a slight bit more for consecutive. Edit I feel the need to add that we are talking about a common note here. Obviously this all changes when the rarity increases... just felt the need to point that out.
