As you can see, the prices for all five coins " 5 cents 1932 Far 2 ", that were sold in december, on ebay, have exceeded the prices of " 5 cents 1926 Far 6 ", for the same grades !

They're both the rare variety. I'd take a dinged up "far 2" over a problem free "near 2". Should still fetch $200 or more, I'm guessing.

jg86 Thanks for the response. I have approx 50 1932's. I will have to go through them closer and give za75 the final results.

I just held a straight piece of paper to the maple leaf to try and figure it out. Is there any other ways?

Personally, I look at the 2 relative to the 3. If the 2 is close to the 3, and at the same "height" (i.e. the 2 is low), then it's a far 2. I think if you put these two beside a couple Near 2s, you'll quickly be able to tell them apart.

Coin Chick, thanks to present us your two coins of variety Far 2 With your photo, to confirm Far 2, use " a straight piece of paper " from the right maple leaf to the top of 2 : as result, the right line go in the half of the number 1, in the date, and the line don't go to the left maple leaf, as we can see with the variety Near 2. In addition : - with the Far 2, the 2 is near rim - with the Near 2, the 2 is far rim For the trend, I hope to obtain, from you, the total number of 5 cents 1932 that you have. ----- jg86, thanks for your comments
