Given that my understanding of 'blue chip' is the same as everybody else, mine are:
1949 1c
1925 5c
1875 10c
1921 25c
1870 50c
1948 dollar
What is your view?

I don't play poker myself but in poker,a blue chip has the highest value. I assume in numismatics/coin collecting it means the same."coin(s) of highest value".Am I right or wrong?I'm curious too.

I apologize MoonRacer if I offended you,I didn't know what was meant by "blue chip".I don't think of coins as an investment.Nothing would please me more than to see the price of coins drop by a significant amount.I buy far more than I sell.Lower prices would put a lot of coins I desire within my reach.I buy the most coins I can afford,if I were investing I would research and buy the best coin(singular) I could afford.

Blue chip, by a generic definition used in popular culture, would mean the best or premier of something. This term is used widely when identifying an athlete in high school as being a "blue chip" recruit. Also reference a horrible movie by Nick Nolte of the same title  My only blue chip coin would be my brand spanking new 2010 AE proof PCGS 70 first strike. It's been my only "major" purchase so far.
