Quote:This is really interesting. I feel like it's a horse race now. Who can get them in their hands the fastest and onto ebay first before the price drops! -captainkurt I played that game back when they came out with that high relief gold coin. I ended up getting the coin from the mint 2 months late and selling it on ebay for the record lowest price of anyone at the time!

I was able to get a set ordered from A-Mark Precious Metals today. Their sets are slabbed by PCGS as "Choice BU" and are $874 plus $99 in S&H fees. Still a good price.

So what you are saying is they picked out all the good ones for themselves...

I don't know. That's what many are saying but A-Mark sold over 2600 sets and has 250 people on their wait list for next week, so they couldn't have picked out too many with 3000 total sets to sell. I am shocked that they are selling these slabbed by PCGS as "First Strike - Choice Brilliant Uncirculated" for no additional charge.

I see nothing that leads me to believe that A-mark is sending PCGS coins. Plus 6-8 weeks for delivery! oh man, by the time they get to us the price may drop a huge amount. What are your thoughts?

The A-Mark ordering page stated they were selling slabbed coins. Plus some pre-sales are already on ebay from today's A-Mark sales stating the same. The 6-8 weeks is a maximum time to delivery. Should be sooner. I'm fired up about these being slabbed PCGS FS for under $195/ea delivered! Not worried at all about the price.

I'm not worried either, depending on how mine look I may send them back in to get real grades.

I too had order confirmed on A-mark. Looking forward to their arrival. Will be nice to be encapsulated vs. just coming in a bubble envelope with warning that some coins may come scratched (I think it was Fidelitrade who said they are bullion coins are handled accordingly)

Registered A-Mark people are going to be buying the 5 oz'er today. I was wondering if anyone here was in this group? If so, can someone tell me how the registration process worked. There will be open registration for another sale next week but not sure when on Wednesday they will be opening registration.

+I just got done reading all 3 pages of this and find the controversy about these coins is still going on.I am having doubts and fears that they would be a good investment in the years to come.Maybe the NGC MS69 early releases will hold or go up in value. Pondering over this one.More comments please gasman96

From my understanding registered people will be able to buy next week. I think tuesday but mis-information seems to be the norm and I will check every chance I get to see if the sets go on sale sooner. As for long term investment of these I really do not know. Prices are fluctuating quite a bit. One auction $1800, the next $2200 and for no real reason. Feedbacks, Certifications, listing groups, I just can't tell. All I can tell is I think known public sales will end very soon. How that effects price is going to be interesting. The more and more I learn makes me believe that we will not see a significant price reduction in the years to come. Demand seems strong and if people want to continue to collect the series in the future these will always be the keys.
