I think a few of you all are about ready to ask Moe if there is a Buy It Now price on the 1882-O.

WooHoo! I'm a hint.

But I'm out of penny rolls already so I'll need to find something else to clear my mind, to meld with the puzzle, to become one with the grid.

I am still wondering about two different things.
1) The missing hint #2.
2) Is there a way to discern where the spaces are before completing the cryptoquote. I do not know if I can do this without figuring out where the spaces are before attempting to solve that portion of the puzzle.

But again I am not giving up. I am taking a break to go and shovel some snow however.

Does a song's lyrics tell us what to do?

I only put "spaces" between word couplings i.e., "Thefoxis" and "quickandbrown" that I needed to so it/they would fit in the area I had allotted (as I described earlier).

No. But that is a GREAT idea for a follow on code!

For now...

5. Some numbers mean different things than the letters. Some mean the same. (I know...)

May I ask the 'same' as what?

eDIT: Ah, the same thing as the letters. So some numbers represent letters. Now just to figure out which is which. :)

If I take all of the letters between each of the sections numbers I get the following.

YRHGI7LAC PRHRJ9GR4DFS3MGM GP7M9DMABO8RPS3CYPQSB9DG RA613RH EL SSBQEI1C GNW3EM6RVEZE4S

At first I thought the '9' was a space but I believe you dispelled that rumor. I would like to think that the numbers are used to tell how many numbers to use, or the key code to that section of the code. A work in progress.

Will you let us know when we have the correct crypto-quote to work out?
