Anyone notice that there is a '9' in every section? Maybe this could be the start or end of the data portion of the section.

I noticed that I don't have the IQ equivalent of a rock so I ain't really even tried to figure this one out. Shame too because that is a great prize. Not to mention I made the host sad. Now I really feel like a turd. A rock turd. WOLF

I think Wolf meant that as a compliment Moe.

Tough puzzle.

rikcando, the only thing that I've noticed is that "Z" is used in every square except the center, and that "U" is only found in the bottom 3 squares!

Scooby, that should be helpful in the crypto stage, they are likely vowels, or an R,S, or T. But I'll go look at it and see if I can find any further collation. I hope no-one minds me thinking out loud.

I can't believe that I missed that there is also a '3' in every section. Shame I can't see any consistent pattern though.

4-7-9-8-3-9-4, 6-6-8-3-7-9, 7-1-7-3-9-6
9-9-1-3-6-7-5-3, 8-61-3-5-7-9, 2-9-4-3-2-6
3-9-1-7-3, 8-3-6-4-8-8-9, 1-7-1-8-4-9-3

Ok, now I know I'm off in the wrong direction. But it was fun to get out the crayons.

I am out of this for today, but sometime tomorrow I'm picking up 4 boxes of pennies. I'm gonna sit down with this on the monitor and work at the pennies. Hopefully something will jump off the monitor and into my head.

Hint #9:

And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he [was a] goodly [child], she hid him three months.

And he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace offering an offering made by fire unto the LORD; the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that [is] upon the inwards,

This [shall be] the service of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation, [about] the most holy things:

(I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to shew you the word of the LORD: for ye were afraid by reason of the fire, and went not up into the mount;) saying,

And Joshua the son of Nun called the priests, and said unto them, Take up the ark of the covenant, and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of the LORD.

And the LORD said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the [other] people go every man unto his place.

(Beforetime in Israel, when a man went to enquire of God, thus he spake, Come, and let us go to the seer: for [he that is] now [called] a Prophet was beforetime called a Seer.)

My daughter and I have been going over this and are not getting very far.
To be literal...
Northern Twister: 'It's the same principle as tornadoes but of less severity.Over the sea they suck up spray and you can pick them out no bother at all.'

But applied here it could mean to start at the bottom and spiral up to the top within the grid section. Since I have no idea what it is supposed to look like I am not really suer when I am on the right track.
