It helps me forget all the polished ones out there. Cracking open a few Canadian books on grading these...it looks like a solid EF to me too. It also looks like the "low 6" variety... Comparing the two Large cents I have (this one and a 1894) I think that I convinced myself that this is a EF40. Compared to 1894 cent, it shows less wear on Queen's cheek. I think that this coin was struck a little weaker than the other. I paid 15 euros for 1886 coin and 25 for 1894. Is it a good price? I don't think that this is the low 6 variety: here is a better picture of the date, the other was misaligned: Report this Post to the Staff
