It *does* look a little funny. More importantly, the coin has been cleaned, and is not worth a whole lot more than the current bid, even if real. I'd pass this one by.

Looks like it was harshly cleaned, smoked to conceal the damage, and then rubbed after the smoking. Definitely avoid this one!

Thanks, apart from the suspiciously shaped looking date, the coin looks 'treated', I did not notice that until you both pointed it out.

Does not look right. Even the rim looks odd to me. Maybe just the pic or maybe not.

I could be wrong but I think the bottom _ of 1 is arched instead of straight, the first eight is slanted to the left and the seven is too short at the top. Just my opinion.

It's a copy/countefiet...the date is the first point of interest, on my 42 inch screen all the lettering is not as it should be, and the reverse as well...
