I think it would be most prudent of me to post at 11:00:01.
I do not have the knowledge the others here have, so I am thinking that I have spent my saving on the answer that I have in hand. There is nothing in the clue that could help me, and maybe my failure will help others eliminate from theirs.

Thank you for that. I too hope that I am right, but I am a bit more hopeful than optimistic. Worst thing that can happen, and most likely, is I eliminate three more countries and a bit of reasoning.

The name of the coin is the Russian kopek. The weapon it

refers to is the spear that St. George is using to kill

a dragon depicted on the coin.

Three UN countries that have issued variations of the

kopek are:

Belarus - kapeyek
Azerbaijan - qapik (aka qepiq)
Ukraraine - kopiyok
