I have the Major Variety and Oddity Guide of United States coins 7th Edition. In it they reference 1804 Large Cents with broken die " Cud" but not the Half Cent. They list the Large Cent variety at $300.00 in 1975. Report this Post to the Staff
SsuperDdave Moderator United States 23522 Posts	Posted 02/05/2011 11:18 pm C-6, B-6 late-state Die Cud, but they all seem to be "Spiked Chin" varieties. Not rare, except I'm having a hard time finding examples without the spiked chin. Report this Post to the Staff

Seriously, though, membership there is free and they have records (with high-resolution pictures) of 1.3 million coin auctions. They have 963 archived sales of 1804 Half Cents alone.
