Wild Bill Pillar of the Community United States 744 Posts	Posted 02/27/2011 5:03 pm There was a post earlier that discussed Miss-Alianed Die's (MAD) vs off-strike coins. My question is: because the reverse die strike is on center and the obverse if off....this would constitute "MAD"....right? If this was an off-strike coin, both the obverse and reverse of this coin would be expected. Report this Post to the Staff

Another difference to keep in mind is a MAD is struck in the collar where an off centered error is struck out of the collar. So you should see a difference in diameter between the two.
