The original pics are a little better, but in order to upload I lost some res, I think. I seeing something above STaTES and a little above TED in United, or am I just up too late?

I think it's a combination of Die Deterioration and split plating.

KrisWard the zincs have a bad habit of splitting/separating around the devices and also crumbling like the one you have there.

It's ONLY split plating. The die is rather crisp, so no chance it's Die Deterioration. I'm not sure why people tend to call EDS-MDS dies "deteriorating" around here. General misunderstanding?

Very good...keep it and revisit it until you know what you're looking at - then you can chunk it into the "to the bank" pile. You will find that this anomaly is very common.

This is even pretty common on proofs and I really don't like that at all.
