Rsxtacee, Hi. jfransch posted that a friend made those trays. My wife bought the chest at Lowes. I'm not sure you'll find anything like that at an art store. Hobby Lobby might have something close, but no guarantee. I don't recall seeing any last time I was in there.

Thanks Jaymon! I have a few Lowes in my area. I'll try and check them out today.

Posted this before. I made this over the holidays for sorting Lincolns. Actually only for short term storage. Once a tube is full they go to rolls. Of course the harder dates don't turn around as fast as I would want The table is never that clean

coin flips and a tupperware container. it's airtight and fits anywhere. Plus, I keep it in the back of the kitchen cab, with all the other tupperware not being used when I have them home! Oh, It's not see through.

Rxtacee, that one in your link is the six drawer version. These are available primarily around Christmas and were only sold in limited numbers to each store. My wife says that her store only got around 12. I'm sure that looking around on the e-net you should be able to buy one somewhere?

Timsumrall, that is a very clever idea! Sure beats the coffee cans and pill bottles! Hmm... I may have to copy that if it's ok? You didn't patent it, did you?

Jaymon, I found a bunch on the Internet. A bit pricey (some get way up there) but I think it's a nice investment. I'll see what I can come up with. Tim! That's awesome. If only I had the space.

Patent? Ha! Just a project. You are welcome to it.
Rsxtacee, thanks. The footprint is based on the angle. This board does 2 different angles. I had planned for it go the other way because the leading edge was rounded (built out of a old desk top) but the footprint was a bit much for my desk. Less angle less footprint.

I LOVE the idea of using a wooden tool chest! I just know that all my stuff still wont fit but will tidy up most of it. Looks better than my homemade shelving anyway. Mine is posted on page 2. Made it out of old shelving in an armoir we converted to a closet for my kids bedroom in the FROG.

coinut, I think you'll like the wooden chest if you get one. I had all my stuff piled in boxes at the bottom of the closet for the longest time. This works out much better. timsumrall, Thanks! I'll have to make that sometime this spring. I have so many projects around the house to do, it may be later than that.

Just bumping! Love seeing what everyone uses. I'll hopefully be picking up a wooden chest in a few days here.

Well .... Lesser silver I keep in envelopes along with sets, and some minor coins. I'm afraid my entire US coin collection consists of about 15 coins only - It's one tiny little corner of one of the cases Some close ups Better Silver I keep in a cabinet - but it's getting full Mostly thalers Mostly Czech commormatives (I got married in a Prague 12th century cathedral so I like the Czech Republic) more odds and sods Then I have a sorting tray Then I have my Indian native states I've a couple of those for pre 20th Century China too. Of which this is one and that's not even starting on the Roman - most io it is in the bank as it's the good stuff. I also have a very hungry Doberman and lots and lots of ammunition :)

Hi - Rsxtacee
The suit case type things are actually cassette suitcases that I had way back in the early eighties. I think they held 45 cassettes but they are perfect of coins.
The other boxes are just box files with the flappy hinge thing removed. They are quite effective for storing the odds and sods.
I do use linder trays for my Romans as well - though I've none to hand at the momment - they and the cabinet are the best for storage - by far - but envelopes are very useful for the volume of stuff too.
all the best...
