Here is another Indian Head cent. This one has all the letters in "ONE CENT" doubled rather heavily. Is this a known variety or just one of those things?

Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

This one is not Longacre doubling because I think Longacre doubling was on the early Indian cents only, not the later ones from about 1887-forward. One of the other IHC experts hopefully will chime in, but I suspect this is Machine Doubling.

Do I need to post clearer photos? I was a little rushed when I posted these.

No, it is Longacre doubling. Longacre doubling can be found on Indians, at least on the reverse, until the end of the series. I don't believe you will see any on the obv after the new hub was introduced in 1886. If you look at the T in cent on your coin you can see the doubling on both sides of the upright are clear indication of Longacre doubling. You will also notice that the doubling on the other letters is in various directions, not something you would see with hub doubling or machanical doubling damage. but which is commonly seen with Longacre doubling.

Thanks for the opinion, I think your right. I'll just have to keep looking for the real varieties.

That's good to know about LD on post-1886 IHC reverses
Most DDRs on IHCs show up on the oak wreath as doubled leaf veins and edges.
