Hi All,

I have a old 1863 Seated Liberty dollar, and would appreciated if anyone could give me some feed back, on how this coin would grade with PCGS/NGC if at all.

Also noticed some inscription on the back of the coin, and would appreciate if anyone has any feed back as to what the inscription means, and will this hurt the grading, if so how bad?

Thanks.

What does that cursive say on the back?
Yes it does hurt the value of the coin, but I'm not sure how much. Unless it means something to someone.

The coin will not grade with the inscriptions on the back. Genuine at best
Rest in Peace

That coin looks familiar. I thought I saw a posting about a coin like that with that same inscription on collectors universe, though I dont remember much about it. You might want to try a search.

Without the inscription it'd probably grade about VG-8 IMO.

Looks like Fine Details but as noted, it will not grade problem-free.
