I keep any nice bronze cents that I find. I'm just wondering if anyone does this too. Also, are they worth more than face? Does anyone buy them? I'm just curious. I'll continue to keep any nice ones regardless they're value. Edited by HeadsIWin 05/07/2011 11:44 am

Aw man, who knows how many of these I've passed up while roll searching, thinking they were just yellow from circulation...

Any year from 1982 on could be a brass plate I think. John1

I think the coin coin needs to be weighted to know for sure. I know there is a thread somewhere that shows how to make a simple weight thingee from a pencil and a popsicle stick.

If you are talking brass plated on the 91, weight will not be different.Otherwise, a popsicle stick and a short piece of dowel or anything round...glue the dowel in the center of the stick, glue a zinc cent on one end...now you have a balance type scale, when you put a copper or brass cent on the other end, you'll know it.
