This is a strange DDO. I'm not sure if this is listed or not but thought it was interesteing. What I pointed with arrows are the only things thats doubled.

The back of Lincoln's head is probably a die chip, although it might be a gas bubble.

I can't see what you're trying to point out on the T and Y, but based on the condition of the Y, it might have something to do with die polishing.

I have looked at a lot of 1983 LMC (its my favorite coin) and I can tell you that I haven't seen any doubling of the T and Y in the areas your pointed out. Generally a 1983 DDO has a lot of doubling and its not confined to just two letters.

Have you tried comparing your coin to the examples shown on https://www.coppercoins.com?

Scurry 1983 is my favorite coin too. My number one coin I want to find in circulation is the 1983 DDR. Now as far as this coin goes I'm positive this is a Doubled die. But what throws me off is only 3 things are doubled on this coin The TY and the back of Lincolns head. Now it could be doubled from strong to weak on Liberty but my magnifying glass isn't strong enough to see that if so. The pictures terrible to see what I'm talking about. I get lucky once in awhile and get a good picture but most of my pictures suck. I will try to get a better picture of the coin but doubt I will.

What would make this coin a doubled die? Nothing is doubled in the shape of what the hub would have created on the die that would make it doubled?

MD would affect all of Liberty not just 2 letters. Also MD is flat like shelf doubling where this isn't.

Yes, it is. You're second picture is much clearer. This is definitely MD.

Good pic, by the way.
