I'm seriously considering bidding for this item:

Zeewool,-This-Is-One-For-You---Rockford,-IL-$50

Rated VF/XF due to a fold, what would you consider a reasonable bidding range?

So does Rockford hold some significance for you or is it just that awesome serial number... or both?

That is a nice one btw.

I would say VF-25 or 30..... Are you from Rockford or Illinois JM?

While not a particularly scarce bank or state, the Type I $50 and $100 notes are hard to come by.... There were 86 (six note) sheets of $50 notes printed.... so that is 516 individual notes issued..... (the handful remaining in existence make this a scarce note).

As you know, Nationals are virtually impossible to hang a price on due to the volatility of the market given the factors of home town, home state, rarity, etc...... Here are some Heritage links, although the venue may play a significant role in the hammer price..... ebay could be half (or double) these figures, depending on the stars and their relationship to the planets...... I think that $300-$350 would probably snag it.

Nope... Definitely not from Illinois......

There's just a little bird in my head that says "buy me" on this one, and generally I don't get that feeling about a piece of currency....

And the venue is Berlin, and this one really has no exposure to the US market.
