I had to chuckle today when I received in the mail, 2 bank notes from China (1 Jiao and 1 Yuan notes) that I purchased through ebay both for about 6 cents with free shipping.

I honestly didnt think I'd get them in the mail but there they were a few weeks later in very nice packaging too! Silly Chinese.

Anyone else have a similar ebay story like that or did I just get lucky?

I saw where someone got an old US $5 gold for $5, delivered.

Then there was the $100 red seal I sold for $97.

Considering that 1 jiao is worth about a cent and a half and the 1 yuan is worth 15 cents, you have to imagine that they have done it for a good rating to be able to pass off fakes at a later point in time.

My best one was at a flea market in Austria where I lived at the time, I bought a British one pound for 50 Euro Cents which is about 40p. I could have also bought a 2 pence coin for exactly the same price, guy didn't know what he had!
