Hi,

I picked up this foreign currency at a yard sale yesterday and do not have a clue insofar as how to go about identifying it.

I need some assistance with the year, country, denomination, name of the person whose picture is showing etc.

Also please indicate the presence or not or any possible error(s) as well as current market value.

Thanks

Taiwan, one yuan, 1960's. Probably worth less than a dollar in that condition. Good luck with your search.

I agree with pls.
Taiwan 1 Yuan 1961. The portrait is of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, President of Taiwan 1949-1975.
The value of yours in that condition, I'd say, is in cents if not zilch.

I don't know about actual value. I'd pay a few bucks to have that. I'm starting up a low denomination world banknote collection.

The portrait is of Dr. Sun Yat-sen. However, he died in 1925.

I think you mean Chiang Kai-shek was "President of Taiwan 1949-1975".

Mr. Lake,

I apologize for the delay in responding to yor inquiry into the purchade of this item.

I wanted to first accumulate the CC-required 250 posts before attemting to sell any CC member any of my coins or currency.

I should reach that magical 250 summit sometime later this coming week.

Should you still have an interest,le ASE

I really hate typing on my phone when posting on CC; I accidentally hit the 'send' button before proofreading my last response.

Mr. Lake, please send me your email address to tradealot@live.com so you can deal directly with me.

I will have the necessary 250 posts within the next week.

Thank you,
mdpmedia (Mark)
