Yeah I wouldn't bid on it either, but I have no clue about the Not Mixed Properly thing.
Does this exist in Australian coins, having planchets with extra of one metal in it?
Is there anywhere where I could learn more about this?

It would be different if the "stain" went through to the other side, then it would indicate two metals in the die... as it is, looks like the crap you can out on metal to give it the stained/old look.

That " not mixed properly thing" may be a bit of a goer.

On the redox table, nickel is more reactive than copper, but like aluminium, it instantly forms a highly passive and very thin protective oxide coating, if the metal is exposed. That is why it is possible to use aluminium in aircraft. As a copper nickel alloy, the nickel may not be preferentially attacked, leaving copper behind.

This lends credence to the quote mentioned above.
