I swear in the back room of the US Mint there is a die press still minting 1964 nickels. The actual mintage for the 1964 nickel in approaching 3 trillion!!

Good one!  I would actually believe it if some of the ones I keep finding did not look like they were minted in 1964.

My son and I found our third ever Liberty nickel today in a box, a 1897, our oldest yet. It was in pretty poor condition.

Disappointed! After finding a Liberty nickel and a silver nickel last night, we opened a box today to find out they were all 2011! No roll searching tonight.

Ouch!  Better luck next time. I am going to the flea market tomorrow and also to the bank to get another box. Will let you guys know what I find!

Of any interest I found a 41, 51D, 54, very nice 61 a couple 66s a 75 (relatively low mintage for an after 64 nickel) and a 70 proof.

You know how you guys were talking about getting a 1964 in every roll? Well...I got a roll of 2011 Jeffersons and in the center of the roll was a 1964!! all 2011's and one lousy 1964!
