I found 1 dateless buffalo in 9boxes worth. I will hopefully find one with a date someday.

Found 2 "dateless" Buffalo nickels in the same row of NF String & Son today. They both had red pen on the front and must have come out of someones collection and ended up in the same row. I know the one is an S mint, and the ink said "18" on it, looks to be acid dated, and there looks like a faint outline of 1918, but I am not sure, no point in posting a pic since the light angle need to be just right to read it. The other one is a possible 1925, but again extremely faint and acid dated. |

A nice surprise greeted me when I began this box...the first roll I pulled out had a Buffalo nickel staring back at me from one of the ends!  It was a good omen; the box yielded three of the suckers. Nice finds there! I have yet to find a Liberty nickel after 31 boxes. Also, I have a $5 gold half eagle, and I realized they are the exact same size as nickels... |

You all have better luck at rolls than I do. I've gotten $300 dollars worth of nickels. Two boxes were nothing but 2011 P which I have no idea what to do with and the other didn't really have junk in it. It seems like it was went through prior to me :(

ancientcoinguy, check those 1955-D's. I just found a nice 1955-D/S while roll searching. Don't know the odds, but you have 23 of them.
