everything Valued Member United States 493 Posts	Posted 06/10/2011 6:25 pm If they were mine, I'd spend them in my Grandpas old 1930's slot machine, which is low on buffalo's (must be the great-grandkids this time), jackpot is 20 nickels, or three bell fruit gum bars. I was going to take pictures but my camara sucks and never can get good pics. I've had them in it for like 5 days and it is starting to show the dates a little bit. Report this Post to the Staff

smokeriderdon Pillar of the Community United States 3755 Posts	Posted 06/10/2011 11:34 pm Nic a date for sure. You just put a drop over the area where the date is and wait about 20 or 30 seconds. That will bring the date up without dissolving the surface of the rest of the coin. Report this Post to the Staff

Dealers sell them for 25 cents if the dates are unreadable. 50 cents if you can barely see the date. So they can't be sold for more than a few pennies. But no one has any of them so they are great for presents. One Buffalo nickel can get someone interested in collecting. Report this Post to the Staff
