IM WATCHING SEVERAL AUCTIONS RIGHT NOW ON ebay. What is the best way ungraded with all off the mint coa. Or graded? I dont need a 70 a 69 would suffice. |

Your personal choice, but definately get all the original mint pkging and in mint condition. I agree, 70's aren't worth the $$,

I bought 20 of the sets when they sold them at the mint for $100.00 a set and they were selling for about $300.00 a set on ebay that Christmas and gave most of them away as Christmas presents. I don't think I could ever purchase these for the price they are selling for on ebay and other places because their price hasn't gone up throughout the years but has fallen back some since they were released. If I were to advise anyone to get this set I would say to get some thats graded by NGC or PCGS and has the 20th ann. label on the slab. the only way you could get the whole set with this label is to send them in unopened to the TPG so even though these aren't rare they may be the ones that will raise in price down the road sometime |

I love those multiholders...I have one set like that and one of the 4 types of 2006 ASE's (posted it in another thread somewhere) Those holders are not easy to find but you can have the 3 coins reholdered in it assuming they already in 20th Anniv. slabs. Totally agree on only buying the graded coins and not the raw set in the opened Mint box. Only one of those coins will get the correct label (assuming you want it) I'm also disappointed they didn't make a 25th Anniversary set this year...I guess they had to save silver blanks for their medals instead  |

Thought I would add a quick kitchen table pic of my set (all 70's I had graded in 2006) in its custom cherry wood box....(sorry for the weak pic but it's cloudy in MA this am)  |

Be careful when you purchase this set. I just bought one off ebay, and the ASE's are not always perfect, I guess only the regular ASE in my set looks like it has a little scuff on it so the open set is a good way to get rid of a crappy 2006 ASE when someone moves a set. Try to purchase them graded. Still, the reason I bought them together for $300 is because they seem to want like $250 for a graded reverse proof but I guess you could probably find one cheaper. |

I've noticed the NGC 69 sets going for just a bit more though Also...a NGC MS70 20th Anniversary burnished just sold for $700 on ebay.....WOW! |

NGC discontinued the multi-coin holders except for some bulk submitters. It is still listed on their website price list but they announced it in a press release and if you call and ask customer service they will tell you that they don't offer it anymore. |

Well that sucks....They were nice holders and perfect for yearly issues like $1 Proof Presidents, ATB Quarters etc.... |

I agree, I loved the milti coin holders for sets like this. I think it made them actually look like a set instead of just some coins put together
