Please explain? I would love to know what makes you think it's a fake?

I picked up on 3 flaws immediately before even reading the replies. Obvious variation in size and spacing of denticles on both sides, obvious distortion of several obverse stars, the spacing is incorrect between the bottom edge of the loop of the 9 and the top of the serif ball in 900 on reverse. Go to tradedollarnut.com and follow the links to the plate for the 1876 business strike from the Legend collection.

Not seeing that at all. What I see is a comaprison to a coin that is MS vs one with obvious wear in the areas you point out. Where the denticles appear to be different sizes look like areas of heavier wear where the rim has been worn into the denticle making them look smaller. The stars are worn in correspondence to those same areas. The 9 simply looks like it took a ding to me.

Again I say, by the pics it looks fine. Check weight and magnet.

Ok... After looking at your reference I would like to point out that my coin has a type II reverse. The picture of the 1879 business strike is a type I. I looked at the stars on the coin and they all look good. Maybe the picture/lighting is throwing that off. The difference in the 9 spacing you mentioned is correct because it's a type II rev. I counted the denticles in 2 words on each side and compared them with a PCGS 1876 type II rev and they were the same. The most obvious way to spot if it's a type II is that there is a period after fine. After looking at a type II rev. let me know if you see any problems. I think it's great to educate collectors on Trade dollars.
