LowLife Valued Member United States 368 Posts	Posted 06/30/2011 4:22 pm good investment decision....proof eagles with box and coa can be had for less than $60 shipped to you if you shop around on ebay...these were going for $90 a couple months back when silver was around $50....holding onto them longterm will have favorable results. goodluck! ICanSeeYou7687 Valued Member United States 362 Posts	Posted 06/30/2011 5:54 pm I usually try to stay closer to spot... but that doesn't say I don't have a few proof silver eagles. I also picked up a 1992 1/10th oz gold eagle from my local coin show. One guy was selling non proofs for 165, which is a good deal, but this guy sold me the proof for only 10$ more, I figured why not... I definately love my proof coins, nothing like it! Just out of curiosity I checked the prices on ebay, and they are selling for 15 bucks over the mints price! Some of those sellers really tick me off. But he has about a half dozen proof silver eagles starting low, and is out of town until the 7th, so perhaps they may get overlooked and fall at a decent price. They've been on there for weeks, and the coins havent even been shipped from the Mint yet. Everyone can get them from the Mint's website for the same price. I hope that these carpetbaggers aren't selling many at those prices. $59.95 is as good of a price as you'll get. I can't wait for mine to arrive! Report this Post to the Staff
