Got one in the mail today. Beautiful coin. It's my first one, but definitely not my last.

Got mine today too. It was sent Fedex / USPS like everyone else's. Shipping took forver to boot. IT was worth the wait.....beautiful coin. I somehow accidently ordered two of them, so I'll be getting another one soon.

I also received mine today -- finally!
Gorgeous coin, of course. You just can't go wrong with these babies.
Other than the nearly 100% over spot mark-up (at least, before today's spike in silver prices).

I ordered mine on the 9th. The website had it as being backordered until the 15th, so I was surprised when it shipped on Monday. Hopefully it'll be in by Saturday. I thought it was kind of weird that they would use a private company like FedEx to ship it. I guess even the Mint doesn't like the USPS.

I'm also picking up the 2006 Silver Anniversary Set from a local coin store tomorrow, so it'll be a good weekend.

I went in to this coin store for the first time last week. Just figured I would go in to check it out. I just asked if he had any ASE's, but at first he said he didn't have any. As I was walking out, I told him I'd check in occasionally to see if he had any 20th Anniversary sets. At that point, he told me he had one in the back, and he only brings out sets like that when someone as for it. He was asking $275 for it, and all three coins looked like they were new from the mint, so I left a deposit and told him I'd be in to pick it up the next time I got paid. I can't wait to pick it up. The reverse proof is probably one of my favorite coins of all time.

Quote: all three coins looked like they were new from the mint Is this a complete set as-is from the mint? Seems like a good price; I see many on ebay, prices are all over the map. 'First Strike' and MS70 examples seem to have a ridiculous premium to them...

It's as is from the mint. It has the proof, the W uncirculated, and the reverse proof. It comes in the original box with the silver outer sleeve and the COA. That's why I had to jump on leaving the deposit. Looking on ebay, all the buy it now prices are set at like $350-$400. A few people asking as much as $750-$800 for the non-graded sets, which is a little ridiculous.

You got a great deal. I pulled the trigger on a set for $320 a few months back. I am happy with it. Isn't that reverse proof just the sweetest little thing?

On the 20th Anniversary set, the packaging is comparable to what the mint uses for the First Spouse gold coins or for the gold Buffalo proof, they went all out for a set that cost something like a $100 at the time of issue. Wish I had gotten more than one, and hope the mint springs a surprise later in the year with a 25th Anniversary set.

That's a great price for the set. Usually sells for between $330-360 ungraded...I would probably keep it ungraded since it would have to be broken up and only the RP would get the 20th Anniversary label.

Of everything but especially the reverse proof you speak of.

Update on my package, I stopped in to find out where my package was. I was kind and clear. Yet each employee made me feel 2" for even questioning. I couldn't believe I was pushed off by 2 employees then a manager. Another day is all it should be. They said. Well I checked my tracking number again and it says delivered. I look around and ask everyone in the house, No package. So I go back down to the post office. Right away their faces all show Ohhh not again. But this time I printed out the tracking information. This time it was a little better, now their concerned! After I assured them It never made it to my house. The manager looks up the breakdown, He said it somehow was forwarded, held, then sent back to another department for review. We should be able to clear this up in a few more days the manager says. I'm not sure why or what happened to make the driver enter what he did. But give me your number and I'll call you when I find out what happened. This was 3 days ago and still nothing. As I was leaving the post office though the manager said to one of the tellers, You have any clue what this driver was doing. I said I do Hes stealing my coins. LOL So I'm off to the post office to see if theirs any news. Congrats to all who received their coins. This is my first problem with the post office. Not fun. I wish I could of taped their response to my first visit, then the egg on their face when something was wrong. When did companies stop listening to their customers concerns.
