All 1971-S and 1972-S Eisenhower dollars are 40% silver; no clad proofs minted those years.

But I suppose your 's' was used as a plural, not a mint mark.

No reason not to keep the Ikes. They are getting harder to find, and being the last REAL dollar coins that were made, they should be kept. Decent circulated ones, VF or higher, will get you a small premium as well. Then if those 72s were one of the variants....

There is a lot to the Ikes.

Last month, I purchased 500 Ikes from another member, then used 475 of them at a local coin shop to buy some Morgan and Peace dollars for my collection.
