F15 is expensive for what you get. I understand the F15 privy being more expensive, but the pandas, ASE, libertads etc are just a rip off. If you want to complete your collection, I am sure you can find the 2011 F15 roo from somewhere.

Yes, way to overpriced especially since the majority are basic bullion coins.

This set is certainly too expensive to acquire and IMO it is cheaper to make your own Fabulous 15 without taking a big hit on the wallet. matter of fact you could probably make a nicer fab 15 set of your own.

Im making something similar but with .999 world bullion coins only but may expand it to other world silver that closely resemble bullion. Here is what I have so far for a list

United States- 1 dollar American Silver Eagle
Canada â€"5 dollars Wood Bison (Wildlife Series)
Australia- 1 dollar Koala
Mexico- Libertad
China-10 Yuan Panda
Armenia- 500 Dram Noah's Ark
Somalia- 100 shillings African Wildlife Elephant
Cook Islands- 1 dollar (ship design)
Fiji-2 dollars Taku
Malawi-50 kwacha Gabu Springbock (Unknown if there will be a 2013 release)
New Zealand-1 dollar Kiwi
Andorra- Eagle (1 diner, unknown if 2013 release)
Suriname- 10 dollars (map of Suriname)
Rwanda- Cheetah (50 Ruanda Francs)
Somaliland- 1000 shillings Lunar Snake
Austria-1.50 Euro Philharmoniker
UK- 1 pound Brittania
Tokelau- $5 Year of the Snake

On the 6-th coin I already think to cancel mine 2012 F15 Subscription.
Although I didn't received couple of 'gems' like F15 Kangaroo or F15 Zebra, I realize, that mine collection of the .999 bullion coins is much more beautiful than Subscription.
Well, it doesn't have printed COA's or fancy clear quad capsules, but still mine collection looks much impressive.

The problem only- the subscription includes 15 coins - and it is all, like a "closed" set. And mine is growing...it has no bounds.
Should I select the best coins for a set, or just leave like that...

Silveroid I would say that this F15 set being a closed one is the downside of it. Its a limited set in the sense of the amount of coins you can keep in the box plus that box and certificates are just added items that make the collection way too expensive. I would say that if youre doing a specific year set such as a 2013 set that you keep going if you so desire. Currently there is a place that sells wooden boxes such as the one you would get with the F15 set that you can get engraved

and you can buy the trays for it

Yes, rodzm, you correct.

The subscription is limited, expensive and doesn't really represents "the best".

Thanks for the URL - this is nice box.
But for my bullion collection I prefer to use the Lighouse wooden box for 60 coins with 2x2 cells. I keep my coins in the capsules (original, if possible), and they all have different size (38-41), so I have no limitation to keep them together on the same tray.

curious, how long does it take to get a full F15 set from the RCM if you ordered it.

i ask because I just ordered the 2013 set. I realize they are expensive but I do want atleast 1 set so 2013 will be the year to do it. it says the first coin ships in May which means June (knowing RCM). How long before I have all 15? and are they all dated 2013?

@Cowboy905:

I've ordered 2012 F15 in May 2012 and till now got 6 coins (plus box and watch).

According to the description of 2013 F15 - they will not be dated (partially or all) as "2013":
2013 Britannia contains .999 Silver, while 2012 is less (.956 if I remember).
Or, their description is incorrect.

yea I read that tax is added to the Britannia coin meaning it's not fine silver...

Britannia
$94.95 + applicable tax
The United Kingdom
Silver, 95.8% pure
The United Kingdom's silver Britannia, an international award-winning bullion coin, is the largest and purest legal tender coin in the UK.

this was listed in the 2013 set so they must be using a 2012 Britannia?

@Cowboy905

I'm sure I'm only an exception (lol) but I purchased 3 x 2011 collections
Only 1 is completed, the other 2 are missing 1 coin each...
I'm done with the RCM and their numismatics, overpriced coins
and collections. I buy their bullion through retailers.
Good luck

^^ well that's not reassuring at all.

thanks for the good luck, it seems I may need it.

Well if this thing fails, then i'll be piecing the sets together myself in the future through APMEX or some other dealer.

You might be better off piecing your own collection
together. In my humble opinion, only the F15's stamped
coins are worth the price the RCM is charging but
unfortunately, only 5 coins out of 15 were privileged.
The box and watch are not worth the extra coin premiums.

To me the privy mark doesn't add much value to it and in my opinion I see a better value in piecing your own Fabulous 15 collection. You can add the privy coins or choose not to. Price should definitely be a whole lot cheaper. I can tell you that so far I've acquired the following and their respective costs:

2013 1 oz Fiji Taku-$37.10
2013 1 oz Armenia Noah's Ark-$45.17
2013 1 oz Rwanda Cheetah- $60.58
2013 1 oz Mexico Libertad-$37.48
2013 1 oz Somaliland Year of the Snake-$45.17
2013 1 oz Canadian Wildlife Bison-$33.27
2013 1 oz SAE-$29
2013 1 oz UK Brittania-$35.02
2013 1 oz Somalia Elephant-$39.95
2013 1 oz Australia Koala-$35.22
2013 1 oz Tokelau Snake-$39.95
2013 1 oz China Panda-$36.66
2013 1 oz Austrian Philharmonic-$32.96

Ive paid so far $507.53 and that would be 2 coins away from my own fabulous 15 type set. I have 8 more bullion coins I want to add such as Kookaburra, Antelope and some others so my set will more like a fabulous 21 set but even at an average of 40 per coin the entire set would cost just over $800. IMO the RCM set is just too expensive for what youre getting. yes you get a fancy case and some documents but you can buy a fancy case for 30-40 dollars and have custom engraving done for you at an affordable price.

i see why stackers dont like this collection, but its more based for the numis....in the 2011 edition, there is a few coins only available in that set, good luck getting one on the market, this is what made me get the 2011 fab 15, the 2012 2013 ones lacks the rarety of the 2011 one..IMO...
