which means 2 more months for me until I can get these into their proper home.

i have the Philharmonic coming this month, and I'm not sure what #5 is. I'm sure I can look it up but I like being surprised.

That's correct, while for 2012 F15 and earlier, the box has been sent with 3-rd coin,

Really? If that was your experience, you were lucky.
All 3 set of 2011 I purchased, the boxes and watches came with the 5th coin,
same thing for my friend who also bought 3 sets...

Yes, the 2012 F15 Sub that I ordered - it was somewhere in the September or October of 2012. And for me - I have nothing to complain about of shipping of this Subscription, all as promissed.

I just totally disappointed (although I knew it) by the choice of coins and their finish. I was sure, that it will be Proof.

I want to collect a "2013 Silver Fab 12" of my own and would like to have your opinion on my list.

The coins have to be readily available for a reasonnable price (not more than $50), come from a variety of countries (not 3 bullions from Australia, for example), be interesting/beautiful/pure, must have been issued in 2013 and must be issued annually by their respective countries.

By looking around, here is a list I've compiled. Any serious ommissions or recommendations?

Rwanda - Cheetah Silver Coin
Somalia - African Elephant Silver Coin
Canada - Maple Leaf Silver Coin
Mexico - Libertad Silver Coin
United States - American Eagle Silver Coin
China - Panda Silver Coin
Armenia - Noah's Ark Silver Coin
Austria - Philharmonic Silver Coin
Great Britain - Britannia Silver Coin
Ukraine - Archangel Michael
Australia - Kookaburra Silver Coin
Fiji - Taku Silver Coin

THe F15 collection is a love hate thing for me, I like the idea but as it's been presented by the mint it is a let down. THe idea of making yor own is perfect, if I were to do it I'd aim for only F15 privy coins and proof. Ordinary bullion is nice but best for stacking. THe F15 maple is really nice, the libertad can be bought pretty reasonably in proof condition. The kookaborou proof (spelling) is nice, the ASE proof . I recently sold an F15 proof Tiki, it was one of the nicest coins I've ever had. It's hard to let this topic go but the idea of a proof or proof like set is pretty nice.
I'm done with it however, I've even posted my F15 box on KIJIJI.
Making your own would be more rewarding, the subscription set is not worth it (my opinion). I even sent the cheap watch back.
In response to thecurse9, I like the list, aim for proof were you can, (again ...my opinion).
cheers

@thecurse9:

Nice list, and good choice.

IMO, I would do one change:

You have here: "Ukraine - Archangel Michael"
as I understand, the coin represents Ukraine and Europe. As coin itself - good, weak point - "poor design" and first Ukraine bullion (could be the last)
but together with this you do not have New Zealand bullion Kiwi coin, which as series more important than the Ukraine's one.

You might say, that you have the Fiji Taku, that actually minted by NZ Mint, but this is the separate series, and represents Fiji.

Added:
Reading carefully Liverpool's advice, I would recommend the same - to combine Proof (Reverce Proof,Proof-like set). (only the Austrian will still remain BU).
You will enjoy it more, but also will spend near to x3 money on this.
I did it for 2012 (some exceptions though) and waiting for the last coin.

Another strong series to think about:
Isle Of Man Proof Cat series - crown sized proof bullion, it runs from 1988, has appealing look and design changes annually (different cat).

Silveroid -

Just to point out, the official NZ bullion coin is the Fern, but these are issued without a year stamped on them.

Kiwi's are considered commerative coins and do come in Proof and uncirculated finishes.

@ep7:

You absolutely correct.
I even say more: if I not mistake, the Kiwi coins minted in Germany (maybe some of them by RAM), but still they, IMO, represent New Zealand.

Yes, they not bullion. They actually similar to Australian Kangaroo series.
But, I think, that one of this deserves to be in F15 collection instead of some of the bullion coins.
(I would give up on Rwanda here or Ukraine and will enter the Kiwi - for the Africa - Somalia Elephant has great representation)

Just now I've seen some post on the other forum about possibility to "Create your own F15 collection" (5 coin)

Here is the URL to the page:

http://forums.redflagdeals.com/rfd-...165863/2361/

As I expect, this conversation will come to CCF, since probably many MC members got this mail from their rep.

So, in my opinion, not easy to create amazing 5 coin set here, taking in account, that the prices for coin they similar to F15 RCM sub.

But:

2012 Tiki Silver Ounce F15 Privy Mark Cook Island ($94.95)

is realy beatiful. I got it from one of the members here, and together with 2011 F15 Kangaroo at Sunset, it is the gem of this collection.
I will add also, that from all the list it is single Proof coin, while others are BU or some of them Proof Like (as China Panda, Armenia Noah's Ark) (do not know about Andorra Eagle)

my choice here will be:

2012 Tiki Silver Ounce F15 Privy Mark Cook Island ($94.95) - IMO must have
2011 Kangaroo at SunsetF15 Privy Mark Australia $89.95 - probably BU, but "must have", if no Proof available
2012 Golden Eagle F15 Privy Mark Andorra $94.95 - nice coin
2012 Koala F15 Privy Mark Australia $94.95 - if it realy F15 Privy, so it great.
5-th coin....do not know, all other have some "cons"

ADDED:
found Andorra coin on ebay - it also looks great and also Proof finish:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/f15-Privy-M...em3f2f71c031

Just tiny addition:
Some (very small part of) 2012 coins I ready to sell (since created my own F15 set) in the mint condition for very flexible price.

Just to add to this, anyone that got this opportunity, the coins do not have to be different, for example, you can order 5 of the same coins to complete the set. As mentioned in that RFD thread above.

As for update, the list is not exact/missing info:

2012 Andorra Golden Eagle - is .999 Silver but 20g (not full 1oz)
2012 Koala - there is no F15 Privy - or the "plain" or "Berlin" privy (this also mentioned on RFD).

Any information I can find seems to state that this coin is in fact 1oz of pure silver. Not sure where you got your information from.

Value 5 Diners (5 ADD)
Metal Silver (.999)
Weight 31.105 g

The info above from Numismatista...yes, I saw it.

But I called the mint, and they told me - "20gr"
Except this, one of the posters on the other forum said that the coin not a full 1 oz.

Anyway, the coin is beatiful, and IMO looks better than 2011.
So recommended for people who doesn't really care about the weight. Except this, it really rare...but probably there is no demand too.

I sold my 2012 F15 collector case for $60.00. All I have left is the Rwanda Rhino F15 and the over priced ASE.
I think it's cool to make your own sets, the quality of some world bullion available for plus or minus $30.00 is awesome. Example Pandas, and Kooks, they are stunning. This I'm sure will be far more satifying than paying for the subscription.

I'll try not to be too negative but the cost to value of the subscription was crazy and I'm glad I'm done with it.
