I have said this many times before: I stay far away from these, so I know very little about them.

Ok, my turn to try to be lucky. Is this coin genuine?
There is zero magnetic content in it and the little hand held scale weighs it at 26.6gms

Fake - one side says it's Hubei Province, the other is Jiangsu. No such coin exist.

Interesting discussion, especially when all posted images seem to show fake coins.

I have one of these but in the form of a silver dish from a car boot sale 12 years ago for Ģ1 which looking at the stains was used as an ashtray (either tar or nicotine..lovely)
Can someone tell me if this is a fake or not? Its not magnetic. You will note my camera skills arent the best but hopefully these are clear enough.

For a change, this coin while cleaned dated 1904 is genuine. Despite in this condition, the novelty of it being in an ashtray adds value and I would not be surprised if it hits over 100 - 200 pounds.

Well done!
