I held off as well. Was hard to do, but made it through the day without buying the puck.

Me too, but I kinda had the DTs the whole day because of it. Think I'm better now.

For some reason I felt the need to order one.
Guess I have a little time if I want to cancel it.
I just noticed on the Mint's site they increased production to 35k, so I figure they will be available for a while.. I also noticed there is a limit of 5 per household, was that the case for the 2010's? I didn't think so.

One coin per household was the order limit on the first two 2010s, then sold out. The order limit was removed on the subsequent three coins after each had been available for approximately 40 days. I am waiting for one of these 2011 releases to not sell out, and the Mint has to return more than half of mintage back to the smelter. A 15,000 mintage would justify a $279.95 price tag, but not 35,000. These coins should really be minted on demand in the year of issue only, and then you might have some really miniscule mintages. The latter 2010 coins only sold out probably due to a couple of promoters buying up the remainder to build future sets to promote once there's more than 4 or 5 years worth, and man will they be expensive then. Only time will tell with this series, but I am really bullish on these coins.

There is a difference between "Mintage" and "Sales"

The mintage of these IS 35k...that's a fact

Sales might approach or equal that number or might be significantly less....or...they can just keep them on sale until all are sold

So it may be a while before I pick this guy up now. Ag is flirting with the $33/oz mark and I am flirting with a set of 2010 bullion ATBs.

The mint is repricing a lot of their stuff right now. Will be interesting to see what they settle at for NP-6 (as well as ASEs).

Does anyone know how the repricing policy works for orders that are already placed but backordered? If the 5oz coins were ordered at $279.95, but then the price drops to a lower value after the repricing, do the original orders need to be canceled and resubmitted, or are the backordered coins automatically repriced before shipping?

@regolith: if you have ordered the ATB before the suspension and not recently cancelled, the Mint will charge you the $279.95 for it. The Mint just doesn't have enough personnel to comb through each order and "adjust" the prices, particularly if it's downwards & not in their favor. I really doubt they would do this even on a backordered item. IMO, I would cancel if your order hasn't shipped yet, and place it again if it's repriced. Could be $40 or $50 less per coin when it comes back online.

Especially since this thing isn't going to sell out any time soon.

I dunno...but would expect them to watch it for another day and set one soon if spot continues to bob around the $32 mark. They're losing sales by not offering them but they're going to lose sales anyway without adjusting the price down commensurate to spot so it makes sense to pick a number as quickly as possible so they can resume sales. I guess the catch there is they don't want to set it and have silver rocket up 5 bucks. I want that to happen but they don't. :)

I want the price to stay below $30, at least until the anniversary set is released
