Looks like the next release of the uncirculated pucks is now the scheduled for Thursday, 9-22. I am interested how many were minted, and the pricing. I'll probably get this one, gonna be an expensive Fall with the silver AE set also coming out.

fyi Bizybackson...
ALL the 2010-P America the Beautiful Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin NP1-NP5 are limited to a total mintage of 27,000 coins each. NP1-NP5 Price = $279.95 with NP1-NP4 SOLD-OUT, but NP5 is still available!
Gettysburg is the first of 2011 America the Beautiful Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coins and total mintage of 2011-P coins WILL be increased 2-3x compared to 2010-P mintage. I saw the actual number a few months ago, but I can't find it right now

Not sure if I'm going to continue buying these unless the price is closer to melt.

US Mint will not lower the price of 2011-P America the Beautiful Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coins, so only way for these to get closer to melt is silver going over $50 oz, but then US Mint will increase the price of 2011-P ATB to $299. buy the 2010-P America the Beautiful Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin NP5 at Price = $279.95 NOW, then when silver goes to $56oz you will be even.

When the Hot Springs uncirculated 5 oz was available for sale on 4-28, the spot that day was around $48/oz. But I think the Mint had set the $279.95 price when silver was $37/oz. Now that the Proof ASE is $68.45, it wouldn't be surprising nor unexpected to find these with a $299.95 or even a $329.95 price tag. With that kind of money, these will be a hard sell with higher mintages of 50-75K. Might end up like the recent First Spouse gold issues, none of them having met their allocated mintages. Possible sleeper if this series and 3" size ever take off...

It depends on what exactly the mintage is, what the price of silver is doing on/around 9/22, and what they set the sale price at. I had told myself I was going to do the 2011's and then make a decision about going forward. But this could really be a (bigger) hole in the pocket and cause me to shy away from the 2011's. I was really excited about these pieces when they first came out but I'm cooling off on them quickly.

I'm cooling off on them as well, The 25th Anv set has me all fired up. Plus I know Its choice time. One more ATB or ANV. And the ANV wins hands down. Don't get me wrong I love the ATB's and would love to add 2011 issues. But its just to much money. I'll keep an eye on sales and if any fall bellow the 27K I'll pick it up. I know one thing! I'm missing that package every month. Just not missing the price tag :-)

Yeah it's going to be an expensive couple of months. I haven't even bought any U.S. Mint gold this year but with the ATB 5oz'ers, this has been my most expensive year of buying from the mint to date. And they still have 3.5 months to release more ATBs! So we're looking at (prices estimated): ASE UNC - $65 (*2 = $130) NP6 - $300 ASE 25 Anni - $330 NP7 - $300 NP8 - $300 So up to ~$1,360 more in U.S. Mint silver this year (or more if they can squeeze NP9 out too). Ouch. Might have to opt out of a couple ATBs, especially since the holidays are not a cheap time of year as it is.

I saw the actual number a few months ago, but I can't find it right now The mintage has NEVER been announced nor inferred that it would be increased. It very well may be increased but nothing has been seen in print...which is probably why you can't find it...Personally I doubt the increase, if any, will be significant.

The details are now posted on US Mint site... 2011-P America the Beautiful Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin -- Gettysburg National Military Park - ALL 2011 is limited to a total mintage of 35,000 coins each & still $279.95 {in 2010, total mintage was 27K} 30% increase
OK; the 2011 mintage of Non-P Bullion has been increased from 33k in 2010 to over 100k+ each in 2011, so that's were I saw mintage has been increased 3 times over 2010

Thanks! Saw an interesting article in today's Mint News Blog about the future of these coins, out of which came this little bit of speculation: Quote: While the US Mint is legally required to produce and offer the bullion versions of the coins, they are not required to produce or offer numismatic versions. It's still very premature, but if sales of the numismatic versions continue to slide, its possible that the numismatic series may be canceled, which would probably be a positive for existing issues. We'll have to watch and see how this develops.
