Happy to help! Good thing your "Want List" was posted on CCF!

Hope it all works out with PCGS.

Took a day off on Friday (11/08) to attend the Baltimore - Whitman show ... what a mind boggling experience of coins. Hundreds of dealers offering a spell-binding variety of coins/medals/stuff.

Did find what I believe is a nice downgrade for my Maryland ... my current coin is PCGS VF35.

Hopeful the new Maryland is in the F15/VF20 range ... dark toned surfaces.

Hesitate to show the very poor blurry photos ... taken by shaky hand at the show using my iPhone through the 2x2 ...

1934 Maryland ... Baltimore Show Acquisition

I submitted both the Maryland and Elgin to PCGS at the show ... in about a month or so we shall learn the wizards views.

Had a great time finally meeting up with some CCF friends and enjoying a friendly lunch together ... such is the joy of collecting relationships.

Writing to share some updates on the pursuit of this seldom seen set ...

The lovely Delaware discussed a few pages ago was certified as PCGS G06 ... making this example the current certified low-ball.

1936 Delaware Tercentenary Half Dollar, PCGS G06

Update-#4---Completed-Circulated-Classic-Silver-Commemorative-Type-Set

I acquired as well at the Baltimore show a lovely Bay Bridge downgrade ...

1936-S San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, PCGS VF20

Lovely downgrade from my present XF45 example.

Update-#4---Completed-Circulated-Classic-Silver-Commemorative-Type-Set

The blurry Maryland I showed above came back as a nice downgrade for me ...

1934 Maryland Tercentenary Half, PCGS F15

Update-#4---Completed-Circulated-Classic-Silver-Commemorative-Type-Set

Best of all ... the tremendous Elgin found for me by ccf member commems was certified as PCGS G04.

1936 Elgin Centennial Half Dollar, PCGS G04

Update-#4---Completed-Circulated-Classic-Silver-Commemorative-Type-Set

Truly enjoying the forever hunt for these seldom seem coins in honestly circulated state ...

Need four more to seal the deal on set V1.0 ... then downgrades go on forever.

Should also add that "Worn Out" only needs 13. Both of you have made some great finds and your sets are moving along very quickly. And both of your pictures are outstanding.

@ Nickelsearcher's first post, I really like these coins! Where can I get the pages and where should I start looking for some of these coins. I think they are pretty cool and would enjoy adding some of these to my collection. I know very little about US coins, however I'm willing to learn. Sorry I forgot my response would show up on the last page. Also where can I find the album pages you used and what are they called? I look forward to reading the rest of this thread.

Thanks for the kind reply ... and hopefully you have read the entire thread by now.

The original set was stored in a Dansco Album ... you can find this on-line and at most coin shows.

The source of the coins ... years of patient searching.

As David said "years and years" of patient searching and being ready to find anyone of these that may show up when you least expect it.

Nickelsearcher, I cant remember what your Columbian Expo is, but this one looks like it was a pocket piece for someone.

F12, and look at that contrast!
