... however, if these two trillion dollar coins are already spoken for, then a "1947 Canadian Maple Leaf Curved Seven 50 cent piece" would be my 2nd choice (it's all I need to complete my 50 cent piece album) ...
=> both coins would give me the same inner-peace

In order 1. 1894S Liberty Head Dime, any condition 2. 1916D Mercury dime, any MS grade 3. 1943 Copper Cent. I really need the 1894S Dime for an Album. I aleady have lots of 1916D Merc's but need an MS one for set #1 1943 Copper Cent would be just for fun. Type of coin for going to dealers and asking if it is worth anything.  |

I think I would go realistic and ask the magic coin elves for an MS64 1878S half dollar, because I think if I had that one, I could manage the rest of the set.

I think there must be some stipulation that the "one coin" must stay in your collection - you can't just pick a super-expensive coin and sell it to buy other coins.
I'd pick a nice, original 1916-D Merc in XF-45. No need to be greedy - I need it to match the rest of my set.

I had to think about this one for a few days. Obviously I would want one of the key dates to complete my albums... 1909S-VDB Lincoln, 1916-D Mercury, 1877 Indian, etc. But if I were to pick the "must have but never will have" coin, it would be the 1804 Dollar.

I read this the other day, and I thought ... wow ... I couldn't pick just one. But it dawned on me, that there is one coins that I've really got "the hots" for. My friend has a gorgeous original 90 percent red 1868 Indian Head cent that came through his Dad's store cash register in the 50s. That coin works me up every time I see it. My friend just won't part with it. Chance |

I'd go for the 1894-S (do I need to say any more?). That only 24 were made is compelling enough; but the fact that only nine are accounted for means that 13 of these beauties are still out there somewhere! Maybe I can find some nice bank teller to give me one.
