Hey folks, Just a quick question. Does anybody know anything about buttons? I was apple picking today and came across an old English button that reads "Best Quality London". I found it while walking on a gravel road. I looked for button collecting forums but nothing turned up. I found two other examples of the coin on Google Images. Here's the link I came across.
nothong on the other side ? likes like the type of button used by the British Army, and a lot of other people, from the Napoleonic era (or earlier), to WW2.
The other side is completely worn out, and I forgot to mention I found it in southern Quebec. I myself was thinking it was maybe from the war of 1812. Thanks Peter!
We'd have to see pics of your actual button to get a true idea of the condition, but with no markings visible on the front, it's probably not going to be worth much.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis
