Well hello Coin Community I've been looking through the forums for about a few days now before I made an account and I love the community. So I've decided to post finally regarding a few of my coins, I am determining if I should get these coins (my best US ones) graded. It is a choice between that or maybe getting some other coins since I am only 17 with no job currently.
Yea I'm aware about all the fakes out there that's why I bought the Trade dollar at an annual numismatic show they have here in Jersey. I don't know if that is a good indication that it is real, and is it true that if I were to send it to be graded, if it is a positive fake they keep my money and just send the coin back or destroy it since it is illegal to have counterfeits?
Nice coins! To display them better it would be good to have them in the right rotation. E-mail me and I'll send you my address. I'll be happy to slab and grade them at a substantial discount.
Even if a coin is bought at a coin show, it doesn't absolutely mean it is genuine though your chances of buying a fake would probably be lower than at places like flea markets and antique shops. Nothing screams fake to me on any of the coins. I think the Trade dollar would be the one that could benefit from certification.
