Does this look like an 1891/1891 S-3 (rarity 3) ? I just happened to see a pic of one and went through all my 91's and found this. I don't know if it's worth anything but it would be cool to keep if it is. Thanks...

52Raymo, sure looks like the snow-3 to me. all digits have evidence to the north.
compare to this since you have it in hand.

Sweet ! It looks exactly like that. Kinda fun finding these. I just got an 1882 S-2 "Broken top 2" (rarity 3) off ebay a bit ago. Just wanted it.

and I believe this is one of the top 5 repunched dates of that decade. with the exception of a rim bump, a nice problem free example. I just got a crud filled one for $5. you can easily find a broken 1882 on the bay for every 200 auctions searched. I can pick two a month but they don't sell for much.

That's a nice RPD! I'm sure it has a collector's premium.

Thanks everyone ! I found out about the 1882 broken top 2 and went cruising on ebay and picked one up for six bucks. Wasn't the best pic but I'm pretty sure it's one. I like putting them in the empty holes at the end of my good album. Got the 1897 with 1 in the neck along with an 1894/94.

Good job 52Raymo! that's the only Snow variety easily found on the bay unattributed.
